In 2018, the City of Lidingö became our first official customer and installed Energy Probe in 36 refrigerating and freezing rooms. From the start, the municipality saw the potential for long-term gains, and the outcome exceeded all expectations: within six years, the investment had paid for itself many times over.

When Per Löfstedt, Technical Manager in the city of Lidingö, was first introduced to Energy Probe, he immediately saw the opportunity to reduce both energy consumption and maintenance costs.

“We were attracted by the idea of optimizing our existing refrigeration and freezing systems, but the real result exceeded all our expectations,” says Per. “Since 2018, we have saved 520,000 SEK — which corresponds to 144.8% of the initial investment.”

These savings are calculated over six years and include reduced energy consumption (direct savings) as well as extended equipment life (indirect savings). The system continues to generate returns year after year.
